A 40-year-old man was arrested after he was found carrying an imitation firearm at the corner of Hangley Page and Caravelle Street in Rocklands on Monday March 1.
A police detective, who received a tip off of an unknown man who was attempting to rob a business, went to the scene and found the man carrying a black Nike backpack.
The suspect fitted the description given.Â
The officers searched the suspect they found an imitation firearm in his backpack.Â
The man was taken into police custody on a charge of possession of imitation firearm.Â
He is expected to appear in court soon.
