Police found 40 packets of tik at a house in Tafelsig on Monday January 7 after receiving information about drugs being sold there.
Police searched the premises in Kardouw Crescent and found the tik hidden underneath the Vibracrete gate.
Police arrested a 26-year-old man, who will be appearing at the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate’s Court today, Wednesday January 9, on charges relating to dealing of drugs.
Later, on the same day, at 5.45pm, Cape Town Traffic Services officers stopped a motorbike rider and his passenger in Westpoort Drive, Portland. When asked for a driver’s licence, they could not produce one. When the registration of the vehicle was checked it was found to have been stolen in Table View. The suspects, 18 and 12, were arrested for possession of presumed stolen vehicle. They will appear in court soon.
