More than 7 000 people attended the Love Cape Town City Fest that took place on Saturday November 16 at Westridge Gardens. The children enjoyed the games area where youth volunteers kept the children entertained through dancing, singing and playing games. Each game had a life lesson which was shared after the games session was done. DJ Eazy kept the music going and at lunch time the Christian bikers entertained the crowd, while those at the skate park area enjoyed a show by local skaters. There were performances by gospel singers, Heinz Winckler, Rouchelle Liedemann, Dr Tumi and Loyiso Bala and international cricket star and former Strandfontein resident, JP Duminy, delivered an inspiring message.
