Kalin Appolis Manellie, 9, from Lentegeur, loves drawing and school. She completed several artwork pieces during the lockdown. Kaylin said drawing allows her to express her feelings. She would like all Mitchells Plain residents to adhere to lockdown regulations. If grown-ups cant comply with lockdown regulations, who am I going to look up to and learn to do the right thing? she asked. My parents do not let me play outside as they are scared that I could get this virus. Its been a long time since Ive seen or played with my friends and I do miss them, she said. Kalin said her dad Mark taught her to stay calm and to look her troubles straight in the eye, just so she can get on the other side of it.
