Former pupil at Littlewood Primary School Marshal Nelson visited the school located in Eastridge, where he grew up, to hand over a R5 000 clothing voucher from a major retailer.
Nelson was rewarded with the voucher after alerting the relevant authorities to the fact that a major retail store in Canal Walk was left abandoned with not a single staffer or security official on duty.
He said he decided to donate the voucher to his alma mater as a way of saying thanks and because he felt the school would put it to better use as there was a desperate need among pupils for school shoes and other necessary items.
