■ Women from all over Mitchell’s Plain and surrounds who are members of Live Free Academy boot camp, gather at Westridge Gardens every Monday and Wednesday between 6.30pm and 7.30pm. There, they exercise and focus on their holistic well-being with life coaching sessions, discussions on goal setting, self-confidence and tips on improving one’s lifestyle. Participants, if they can afford it, pay R100 for eight weeks, which is used in the community to do charity. Nailah Kippie, founder, life coach and boot camp instructor, said the programme was not just focused on women’s physical well-being but also their emotional and mental well-being. “Lives are being changed for the better, women are becoming more positive, they are glowing and regaining their zest for life,” she said. They host motivational talks, workshops and camps.
