Kite festival

■ Eisleben Primary School pupils Chesray Slammet, Kaylee Newman, Zia Stockenstroom and Inshaaf Petersen, entered their kites in the Primary School category in the EduKite Competition last year. The 24th annual Cape Town International Kite Festival takes place in Muizenberg on Saturday October 27 and Sunday October 28. On Thursday October 25, Liberty Promenade shopping centre and Cape Mental Health will host a preview family kite day at the mall, in the Supa Quick parking lot, between 2pm and 4pm. Everyone is welcome to bring their kites or fly a kite, from the mall, with international and local kite experts. Entry is free. There will be treats for the children and prizes to be won.
