Jazzing it up

■ Cedar High School band members thrilled with their performances at Artscape on Sunday March 26 where performers for the Cape Town International Jazz Festival Sustainable Training and Development All Star Band were announced (“Cedar High pupils fine-tune their futures”, Plainsman, March 15).The band members are the best performers and artists from the various schools participating in the CTIJF Music and Careers Workshops and who together form a new band that will play at today’s free annual CTIJF concert on Greenmarket Square, from 5pm. Jazzing it up on Sunday was Cedar High band vocalist Angelique Sinclair, 15. While the school’s band members did not make the All Star Band, pupils said the workshops were interactive, informative, fun and inspiring. The Cape Town International Jazz Festival takes places at the Cape Town International Convention Centre this Friday March 31 and Saturday ​April 1.
