Shumeez Scott Foundation held an iftar (breaking of the fast for Muslims) at Lentegeur civic centre on Saturday April 8.
Foundation members, many of them with Down syndrome (DS), their family members, Portland and Lobelia community senior club members, 120 orphans, carers and some staff from Islamic Relief broke their fast together.
The foundation is a registered non-profit organisation focused on the upliftment and empowerment of people with Down syndrome, and those with similar intellectual disabilities.
Foundation managing director Bahia Janodien, from Lentegeur, thanks all sponsors and donors who contributed so generously.
