Police last week arrested three men on charges of possession of firearms and ammunition, and one for drug possession.
On Tuesday June 4, at 2pm, police arrested a 26-year-old man who was in possession of 312 ecstasy tablets, 59 mandrax tablets and 42 straws of tik at a house in Loftus Street, Beacon Valley. He faces charges of possession of drugs and appeared in court on Thursday June 6.
On the same day, at 11.30pm, police found a home-made zip gun and one 9mm round of ammunition at a house in Tafelsberg Street, Tafelsig. Police arrested a man, 31, who faces a charge of possession of prohibited firearm and a second charge of possession of ammunition. He appeared in court on Thursday June 6.
On Wednesday June 5, Mitchell’s Plain police arrested a man, 31, who had a revolver and five rounds of ammunition.
The man, who was arrested in Smuts Street, Eastridge, faces a charge of unlawful possession of a firearm and a second charge of possession of ammunition. He appeared in court on Thursday June 6.
