High tea

The children of Christel House sing the national anthem.

Christel House school in Ottery held a high tea, hosted by the Parent Forum, at the Muslim Assembly Hall in Strandfontein, on Sunday September 30. Christel House, registered as a non-profit organisation, is a school for underprivileged children from Langa, Mitchell’s Plain and Ottery, among others. The guest speaker at the event was Ellen Pakkies, the Lavender Hill woman who killed her abusive tik-addicted son. A locally-produced movie about her life was recently released.
