A Lentegeur hip hop and jazz artist will be hosting a gospel concert to help raise funds to serve more hearty meals.
D’Louw, founder and coordinator of the Deen Louw Foundation, said it was their first fundraising event.
“We have been operating since 1993 but only officially registered two years ago.
“We only registered as a non-profit organisation recently to access funding for our arts projects from the national lottery. The community has supported us all of these years,” he said.
They feed people two days a week at about 4.30pm in Rose street, Lentegeur, to ensure their neighbours are fed and two other days in and around Mitchell’s Plain.
