Mitchell’s Plain Community Police Forum (CPF) is appealing the suspension of Mitchell’s Plain police station commander Brigadier Cass Goolam for two months without pay.
Ashley Potts, spokesman for the CPF, said they were informed about his suspension on Thursday April 26. They say Brigadier Goolam was suspended for speaking to the media, without permission.
The Plainsman contacted the provincial police communications office, who said it was an internal matter between employer and employee.
