The Westridge Cancer Survivors Support Group, representing Mitchell’s Plain Relay For Life, was part of a global cancer walk, on Sunday. The group started the walk from Westridge library, at 9am, and arrived at Westridge Gardens, at 9.45am. They completed another lap in the garden, walking 4km. The oldest cancer survivor among them was 83.Cancer survivor Claudine Accom was among those who did the global cancer walk on Sunday.Cancer survivor and men’s health advocate Michael Williams said the walk was done in honour of all those who had both succumbed to and survived the disease. “It was great to do the walk knowing the same was done globally,” he said.
