Non-governmental organisation (NGO) School in a Box is offering pupils free learning material online during the national Covid-19 lockdown.
It offers mathematics, English, social and natural science, and coding, to help pupils hone their knowledge with study guides and past papers.
Spokeswoman Glynis Abrahams said their online library also provides hours of reading, as well as resources for teachers.
“I do believe it can benefit our children,” she said.
The NGO has been providing tablet-based educational support for pupils across Southern Africa since 2015.
Ms Abrahams said they work with various companies and individuals to pilot projects that can influence the current education crisis in a positive way.
“As parents are being inundated with several channels promoting learning tools, School in a Box is offering a one-stop additional or supplementary learning platform for Grades 1 to 12. No strings attached, no spamming your inbox, no trial period, absolutely free access to all content,” she said.
To access these resources, parents and teachers can email their name, surname, email address, contact number and child’s grade to support@schoolinabox.co.za or WhatsApp 081 783 4547 for their unique username and password. School in a Box would greatly appreciate financial donations towards ensuring that they are able to continue to provide content to pupils during lockdown.
