Members of Team Mix-Fit at Colorado community hall were put through their paces in a self-defence session with Bonsai Self-defence Academy founder and facilitator Eugene Adonis and associate Charlene Bruiners of Ccfoundation Creative Designs on Thursday June 20.
The programme was to empower and encourage members to feel good about themselves.
They had separate sessions for adults and children with specific focus on raising awareness against gender-based violence.
Ms Bruiners said it was in aid of “GBV#365”.
Topics included hand-to-hand combat; personal safety; environmental awareness; and sensory awareness and audio perception.
