As parents, children and teachers around the province prepare for the start of the 2018 school year, the Plainsman caught up with pupils preparing for their first day of “big school”, today Wednesday January 17. All set for Grade R are twin sisters Cloe, left, and Cleo Adams, 5, right, pictured with Jordan September, 5, in the middle. They attend Proverbs 1 Educare, in Morgens Village.
Laylah Adams, 7, from Morgens Village, fixes up her hair in the mirror before leaving for school. She completed Grade 1 at Ridgeville Primary School, in Westridge, last year and will be going to Mitchells Plain Primary School.
