A 55-year-old woman from Tafelsig was arrested last Wednesday after police found her in possession of an illegal fire arm.
The incident occurred at Ridge Street after police were informed that there was a fire arm in the house.
On their arrival, the officers asked for permission to search the house, which was granted.
However, while the officers were searching, they saw the suspect putting a cushion on top of a box and carrying it out.
The police stopped her and opened the box.
They found a shotgun, live ammunition and an empty cartridge.
A 34-year-old man was arrested after he shot and killed another man after they had argued on Sunday July 16 at 6th Avenue, Eastridge. The man sustained multiple wounds to his back and neck as he tried to escape the gunman.
A 37-year-old man was arrested after he was found in possession of a firearm on Sunday July 16, while police were patrolling at Town Centre’s Polka Square. The police said the suspect ran when he saw their van and they chased him.
While he was running, he took something from his pocket and put it on a wall.
When police caught him, they took him back to check what he had dumped and they found the firearm.
