The Anti-Gang Unit found 600 mandrax tablets with an estimated street value of R24 000 in Beacon Valley on Sunday October 6 at 8.35pm.
The members searched the house in Bicycle Crescent and found the mandrax tablets hidden inside.
They arrested a woman, 63. The suspect appeared in court on Tuesday October 8 in the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate Court on a charge relating to dealing mandrax.
In an unrelated separate incident, Mitchell’s Plain police arrested a man, 36, on Monday October 7 at 6.45pm in Megan Street, Tafelsig for possession of tik.
Police spotted him in the street and approached him. They confiscated 12 grams of tik, found in his possession and with an estimated street value of R4 200.
The suspect appeared in court on Wednesday October 9 at the Mitchell’s Plain Magistrate Court on a charge relating to possession of tik.
