A tip-off led to drugs and ammunition being confiscated in Rocklands on Saturday October 5.
Metro police officers, who followed up, searched the house and found two pistols and 36 rounds of ammunition hidden in a dog food bag. They also found drugs to the value of R42 000, items used to cultivate dagga and just over R26 000 in cash.
A 26-year-old suspect was arrested.
In a separate incident yesterday morning, officers on patrol in Montrose Park, saw a man running away after he had spotted them.
The officers gave chase and caught up with him. He was searched and found in possession of a 7.65 Browning pistol.
The suspect was then arrested.
Just a few hours later in Woodlands, officers witnessed a drug deal and chased after the two people involved in the transaction.
They caught one suspect who was in possession of 49 units of heroin and cash.
The 18-year-old suspect was arrested on a charge of drug dealing. Â
