Mitchell’s Plain police arrested a 24-year-old man for possession of drugs on Saturday June 16 after they received information that drugs were being stored at a house in Beacon Valley.
The police searched the premises in Kennetjie Street and found 244 heroin straws and eight small packets of tik with an estimated street value of R7 500.
In another incident, officers from the Mitchell’s Plain Firearms, Liquor and Second Hand Goods unit found 97 litres of liquor at a Beacon Valley house on Friday June 15.
Two men were arrested for selling liquor without a licence.
“Mitchell’s Plain police will continue to tirelessly clamp down on crime in the area.
