Mitchell’s Plain police station spokesperson Captain Ian Williams, is urging residents to be vigilant around the beach areas of Baden Powell Drive. “There have been several reports in the past where people have been attacked while parked along the coastline, especially at night. The perpetrators often point guns at their victims and rob them of their possessions, including their vehicles. The police are patrolling the beaches but often stop to warn people of the possible dangers especially at night,” he said.
