Around noon on Wednesday June 27, members of Mitchell’s Plain police’s crime prevention unit received information about stolen property being stored at a house in Brandwag Street,Tafelsig.
When police arrived, they were informed that the occupants were not at home.
During a vehicle patrol, police noticed four men pushing a wheelie bin at the corner of Stella and Tafelberg streets in Tafelsig.
Police confiscated 11 power tools, two cellphones, two flat irons, one hairdryer, nine clamps, one cordless microphone and a handsaw. The stolen goods are estimated to have a value of about R10 000.
The two men, aged 35 and 43, face charges of possession of stolen property and are expected to appear in court soon.
