Cops clamp down on drugs

Khayelitsha Tactical Response Team found 50 small packets of tik on a 35-year-old man they searched in Tierkloof Street, Tafelsig, on Monday January 13, at 10am.

Police arrested the man and he faces a charge of possession of drugs.

On the same day at 4pm, Mitchell’s Plain police found fifty units of heroin wrapped in a plastic bag in a house in Korfbal Street, Beacon Valley.

Mitchell’s Plain police found a man, 26, in possession of 50 mandrax tablets at a property in Hamerkop Street, Rocklands, around 11am on Tuesday January 14.

The man was arrested, faces a charge of possession of mandrax and is expected to appear in court soon.

On the same day at 1.30pm, Mitchell’s Plain police found a man, 23, with an imitation firearm.They stopped and searched the man in the Town Centre on Tuesday and arrested him.

He faces a charge of possession of imitation firearm and will appear in court soon.
