Celebrating Garden Day

Retired Rocklands Primary School teacher, Terrosita “Zita” Chee Mee, 69, from Colorado Park, hosted her annual Garden Day celebration on Sunday October 15 with friends at her home. They played games of yesteryear such as “bokdrolletjie spoeg,” and identifying vegetables by smelling them, Ms Chee Mee said. “This day has so much meaning as I get to invite fellow gardeners and friends, to socialise, destress and just have fun. I encourage all to do this in their home spaces if they are able to do so,” she said.
