Celebrating a milestone

Dorothy Magdalene Abrahams, sitting in her bed, celebrated her 102nd birthday on Thursday February 9. She attributes her longevity to her faith in God. Ms Abrahams, from Lentegeur, raised her six children, while her husband Vernon Frank Abrahams was away for four years fighting in World War II (“Still going strong, despite being 100,” Plainsman February 6, 2015). Mr Abrahams died 53 years ago.
