Cape Community Newspapers, which publishes the Plainsman, held a Christmas party at New Lentegeur Educare on Friday December 9. The newspaper also visited two other creches in Westlake and Joe Slovo. The children were entertained by the Weekend Argus’ Jellybean Journal mascots, had their faces painted and received gifts from Father Christmas.Principal at New Lentegeur Educare, Faeeza Karriem, thanked the Plainsman team for the party as it added some joy. “It was a special day for our children, especially when you presented them with gifts, snacks and a meal. The face painting was beautifully and professionally done, and the children were treated with love and respect.It was much appreciated by all the kids.Thank you Plainsman, it was a very kind gesture indeed,” she said.
