Ruff Riders Motor Cycle Club in Portland collected and distributed more than 250 hygiene bags to homeless women during Women’s Month, which is marked in August. Club members read an article about the need for sanitary wear and took it upon themselves to collect toiletries and sanitary towels, surpassing their target of 150 bags. It was their first charity drive and they are looking forward to many more. The club was established in 2006 and joined the Motorcyclists’ Association of the Western Cape in April last year.
