Anthony Walters, 20, of Highlands Village is a budding actor, scriptwriter and model who is passionate about pursuing all his dreams.
One of his achievements includes landing a part in Mitchell’s Plain: The Movie -Change Starts in the Heart.
“I knew someone who was part of the movie and initially I joined as a crew member. After three months, the role of Romano became vacant and I jumped at the opportunity. I later discovered that I got the role of one of the three main actors in the movie. The movie deals with how a single-parented household deals with socio-economic and health issues,” he said.
Anthony also attends Figures Model Finesse International and is gearing up to enter the Face of the Year competition hosted by the International Modeling Talent Association (IMTA).
In December last year he completed his first movie script.
“I’m busy reconstructing it at the moment since I went to see (Noem my Skollie author) John Fredericks who gave me tips and pointers on writing,” said Anthony.
In addition to his busy schedule, he is also a second-year Chemical Engineering student at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) in Bellville.
“I have always been into all things science and the core of science is analytical chemistry. My end goal is to venture into nano technology which is the future,” he said.
When Anthony is not juggling all of his commitments, he plays the drums at his church every Sunday.
Anthony, who completed matric at Mondale High School, encourages the youth to go after their dreams. “I want to tell those venturing into the entertainment industry that they will experience challenges along the way. Fight your own problems. You only have one life to live so make the most of it,” he said.
