Two hundred young people attended a Youth Month outreach programme at the Eastridge community centre, hosted by the City of Cape Town’s health department on Thursday June 30. Eddie Andrews, the chairman of Mitchell’s Plain’s Sub-council 12, had himself tested for HIV/ Aids to encourage others to get tested and know their status. He also appealed to youth to adhere to the A (Abstain), B (Be faithful) and C (Condomise) principle when engaging in any sexual behaviour. He concluded by indicating his preference for youth to abstain from sexual behaviour outside the confines of marriage.
