Beacon School for Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSEN), in Westridge, wished their graduating class 2017 well as they headed into various job opportunities or left with skills they could practices at home. Among these were dance, drumming and gardening. The 22 pupils, most of whom had been at the school since age six, had spent just more than 10 years at the school. Being picked up by the school bus and attending school had been their daily routine during the week. On Thursday November 17, pupils, parents, teachers and additional staff shed tears and encouraged each other to do better.
