Women’s conference

■ Patricia Noble, from New Covenant Christian Church, in Beacon Valley, will welcome more than 1 000 women to the church’s Covenant Women Inc. triennial women’s conference in Metropolitan Street on Friday November 24, at 7.30pm. Themed “Women Adorned”, guests are asked to wear their ball gowns to the eveNt. Ms Noble wants to ensure that Beacon Valley, which has recently been affected by gun fights, is not just known for violence but also for its faith and endurance.
