Rocklands High School is a beneficiary of songstress Salome Damon Johansen’s campaign against substance abuse.
Salome will be performing at West End nightclub, in College Road, Rylands, on Friday March 16. Tickets cost R100.
She will also be performing at seven other venues, outside of Cape Town, where other beneficiaries will be decided on.
It is Salome’s birthday show and a percentage of ticket sales will be donated to the school.
She hopes to inspire and motivate pupils to follow their dreams.
“Remain focused and be the best version of yourself,” she said at the school’s Valentine’s Day show on Tuesday February 13.
The singer has been clean for the past eight years and the campaign has her sharing her story, in the hope of raising awareness and a conscientious mind shift for pupils, who are battling with drug abuse or its effects at home.
For tickets call the school on 021 392 7139 or Salome’s manager Samantha Oliphant on 076 064 6220.
