Auditions for the 9th annual GrandWest Open Mic Jazz singing competition take place at Jackson Hall, GrandWest, from Wednesday August 9 until Wednesday August 30.
Emerging jazz singers over the age of 18 can audition on Wednesday nights from 8pm, and entry is free.
Register on the day of the audition between 7pm and 8pm. Auditions are limited to 30 entrants a night.
Professional singers already deriving an income from performing may not enter.
The top 24 contestants will be announced on Friday September 1.
They will compete in the quarter finals taking place on Wednesday September 6 and Wednesday September 13.
